My Trusty Steed Needed Surgery this Week

I don’t need a man- I’m handy!

Well, my trusty steed got a flat tire this past week. One day it was a bit soft, so I put a little bit of air in it and a way I went. The next day it was soft again. So, off I went to the Canadian Tire to get a new tube, a pump and a bike fixing kit (with a wrench, tire putter on thingies, allan key, gear adjusters, etc.) and went home to fix the tire. It took me a while because I did things in the wrong order- I didn’t know that you put the tube inside the rubber part and then put them on the wheel. Once I figured that out things went fairly smoothly. However, when I put the wheel back on I didn’t put it on straight so it was rubbing on the brakes- I had to loosen it and then put tighten it again.
My hands got covered in grease because I had just greased my chain on the weekend and I didn’t have that orange soap that my dad has for when he’s fixing the cars so my hands were a mess. I had to trim all my nails because I couldn’t get the grease out from under them. I can know say that I can change a bike tire and car tire. Yup, who needs a man when you’re handy.
