SALSA Night

Jen is a pro salsa dancer (she danced for 4 years while she lived in Boston) and offered to host a little learn how to salsa shin dig on Friday night. There was tons of food and tons of good times and awesome music. I didn't feel too bad about skipping my workout since I worked up a sweat dancin' the night away. I've got the steps down (1,2,3- 5,6,7) but the rest of my body needs some work. Apparently your not suppose to move your hips they should move themselves- but I say where's the fun in that! Jen also thinks I'm a beat 2 dancer, which means I should dance in NYC because that's the style that's popular there. I enjoyed myself so much that I think I'm going to take salsa lessons when I get back to Toronto- besides I always like learning something new and I hate not being good at something (I like to practice until I sort of know what I'm doing). Since my days of dance club dancing (Jim Bob's, GT's, Stages, AJ's etc) are probably becoming numbered I figure I better learn a new type of dancing.
